The Weaving School emerged out of Leslee Fiorella's love and adoration of looms, primitive and modern weaving tools, and woven structure. After her personal collection of looms outgrew her studio space, she realized it was time for others to enjoy them as well and created The Weaving School as a space to inspire and support the craft of weaving.
Leslee is a weaver and textile designer. Early in her career she designed woven fabrics for the textile industry in New York City. She honed her modern sensibility working for the iconic design companies Knoll and Maharam. After designing for the industry for many years, she missed her connection to the loom and returned to handweaving and exploring woven structure back at the loom.
Along with offering classes in multiharness weaving, tapestry, and rigid heddle weaving, The Weaving School offers loom rentals for special projects, as well as retail sales of looms, equipment, tools and weaving yarns.
